Luke England, FNP

Luke England was born and raised in Winters and is a proud Blizzard. After high school, he went on to attend Texas Tech University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and competed on the Ranch Horse Team. One of his proudest moments is winning the National Stock Horse of Texas competition, both as a team member and an individual. After graduation, he came back home and helped his family farm and ranch before his passion for taking care of others pushed him to pursue a second bachelor’s degree- this time in nursing. He enrolled in the Texas Tech School of Nursing and graduated as the president of his class in 2016. His love for critical care landed him in the ER for four years and then as a flight nurse for AirEvac for one year. Those experiences built a solid foundation to become a provider as a nurse pracitioner through Hardin Simmons University.

Winters has and will always be home for Luke. He never thought twice about accepting a job at North Runnels Hospital District in 2020. Most of all, he considers his proudest accomplishment to be his role as a husband, father and believer. Luke and his wife, Kiersten, married in 2016 and in 2017 became parents to their son, Ridge. When he isn’t working in the clinic or the ER, he enjoys hunting and playing practical jokes; as well as continuing to help his family farm and ranch.

When asked how to best describe his practice, Luke remembered these words by Patch Adams: “You treat a disease…you win, you lose. You treat a person…I guarantee you, you’ll win- no matter what the outcome.” Luke is honored to treat you, as the person, for North Runnels Hospital District.
