Position Summary:

POSITION: Laboratory Technician

SUMMARY: Looking for a self-motivated certified MT/MLT or phlebotomist to work independently in a rural hospital. Shifts will be 12 hours three days a week, training will be offered to the right candidate, please have all certificates ready and submitted with résumé

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum High School graduate or equivalent. Certification and experience in phlebotomy or clinical laboratory preferred.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under the general supervision of the laboratory director. As a member of the laboratory professional team, the technician will work within the goals and objectives established by the departmental management team in harmony with guidelines and policies of the laboratory and hospital to provide accurate, timely, cost effective and efficient testing of patient specimen samples.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift 30 pounds to a height of four feet. Must be able to hear audible alarms.
